Cleaning & disinfecting

What cleaning precautions are you taking in your stores?

The health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority, and to support this, we disinfect and clean high-touch surfaces after every customer interaction.

While we’ve always maintained a daily cleaning schedule for our stores, we’re also following the recommended guidelines from the Public Health Agency that go above and beyond our usual daily cleaning and hygiene process, and actively monitor the Public Health Agency’s guidelines for any additions or changes.

How are you cleaning vehicles at this time?

Following Public Health Agency sanitization guidelines, we disinfect 15+ touchpoints on our cars before and after customer test drives. Those touchpoints include: outside & inside door handles, all buttons on the driver’s side door, steering wheel, gear shift, hood latch inside, trunk latch outside, seatbelt fastener, keys/fobs, instrument panel, center console, gas cap latch, seats, driver’s floor mats, and all other interior buttons.

Are you limiting the number of people inside your stores?

Many of our locations must limit the number of people who can be inside our stores at one time. To help reduce wait times, we encourage you to make an appointment and to consider limiting the size of your group.

How will social distancing practices affect my experience?

Physical distancing is a priority. Furniture, workstations, and marked areas are arranged for you and our Representatives to stand at a 6-foot distance, and we are a handshake-free environment. We continually monitor Public Health Agency guidelines and adjust our policies as needed to comply with those guidelines.

What other precautions are you taking in stores that are open?

We are committed to doing the right thing, especially when it comes to your well-being. We follow recommended guidance from the Public Health Agency regarding cleaning and hygiene for both our facilities and vehicles.

I have a test drive scheduled. Do I have to ride with a store Representative?

At this time, we are allowing test drives both with and without a Representative, at the customer's discretion. Once your test drive is over, we’ll be ready to answer any questions you may have if you’d prefer to go without one of our representatives.

I have a test drive scheduled. What do I need to bring?

You’ll need to bring the following required items to your test drive:

  • Driver's license
  • Proof of Income
  • Treaty Card (If applicable)
  • Trade-In
  • Pre-Authorized Debit Form/Direct Deposit Form
How does the paperwork process work if I decide to buy a car?

We’ve designated areas in our stores that adhere to social distancing guidance for paperwork signing. Our Representatives review each document with you from a 6-foot distance.

Health precautions

Are you requiring customers to wear masks?

We are not requiring, but encouraging customers to wear masks while inside our stores. This is to support the health and safety of all customers and our Representatives. We will continue to monitor our local government and follow their advice/rules put in place.

What preventative health measures are O'Brians Automotive Representatives taking?

All O'Brians Automotive Representatives are required to conduct a daily health self-screening prior to coming to work at a O'Brians Automotive store or office.

Representatives may come to work at a O'Brians Automotive store or office location if they pass their screening(s). If not, they are asked to stay home until they can pass the screening. If quarantined, Representatives can return to work at a store or office once their quarantine is over and they pass their self-screening.

Is my store open?

My car has an issue, but I’m not comfortable bringing it in for service. What do I do?

We understand your concern. We’ve put significant measures in place to reduce the risk of exposure and further spread of COVID-19 in our stores. Please contact our service department by calling 306-993-7299 and we’ll be happy to assist you or address your concerns regarding our service process at this time.

Appraisals & selling my car

Can I still bring my car to O'Brians Automotive for an appraisal/offer?

Our stores are able to provide in-person appraisal, however we also have the ability to value your trade-in from a distance. If you’d rather do your appraisal from a distance, not a problem! Just let us know when it comes up.
